Back by popular demand, AIPF is thrilled to present Passionate Tango to kick-off the festivities. Tango specialist and renowned pianist Alfredo Minetti and HSO concert master Iggy Jang will join forces with AIPF artistic director Lisa Nakamichi and bandoneonist Richard Scofano in an enchanting evening of tango favorites. Ready to tango? An exciting concert not to be missed!

The Muscatine Civic Chorale group will present "Misa a Buenos Aires." A contemporary Mass by Martin Palmeri at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at St Mary and St Mathias Catholic Church, 215 West 8th Street, Muscatine, Iowa. This innovative work, also known as "Misatango", combines the rhythms of Argentina's national dance with the traditional Latin text and includes the bandoneón musical instrument. We are honored to welcome our special guest, the Argentine bandoneon virtuoso Richard Scofano. The event is familiar and open to the public. Admission is free, but monetary donations will be kindly accepted. A light snack will be served after the presentation.

Tango Passion

Things heat up with the return of Duo Scofano/Minetti (bandoneon + piano) for an evening of passionate music at Tango del Barrio. Also featuring Artyom Dervoed, Tatiana Berman, and Jeff Greene. After the performance, join us for a milonga with Marcela Duran, known as “The Woman of the Tango”! Food by Heritage Event and wine by the Old 502 Winery are included in the price of the ticket!

Last time Scofano/Minetti performed at Constella, their event immediately sold out. This year, they are sure to do the same, so get your tickets early!
